Swap equipment

Making a swap request is easy at Lens Lab. Simply tell us the equipment you have and the equipment you want to swap for. You do not need to register with us, just complete the form and we will get back to you with offers asap.

We search our database for likely swap partners and post your request on our website under the "MORE OPTIONS" tab on the product page. When you agree a swap and the person you are swapping with also agrees, you both send your equipment to Lens Lab. We hold your equipment until we have everything checked and verified. Then we send you your new equipment.

If there is a cash component to the swap we collect the money due and send it as a cheque with your equipment. You cover the cost of shipping your equipment to Lens Lab and for shipping the new equipment back. We charge a small administration fee for this service of £8. Both the swap and the swapee pay this fee.

What if the equipment I swap for is damaged?

All equipment that passes through the Lens Lab swap process is checked by a professional photographer. If there is any problems found with equipement we will halt the process and return the equipment back to the respective parties.

What if my equipement is damaged during delivery?

Our couriers are insured. Your equipment is safe.

How long does it take to swap equipment when an agreement has been made?

It usually takes about 4 days but it depends on delivery arrangements. Delays can occur but we promise to do our best to make sure the swap is as fast and seamless as possible.
