We do not sell your data to third parties. We only share your data with third parties where it is necessary for us to do so in order to fulfil your order with us. For example, your delivery address and telephone number are passed to the courier company responsible for delivering your order and your credit card details are passed to our payment gateway to process your payment.

Hire customers
When you hire equipment from Lens Lab we will ask you to provide some information about yourself so that we can verify your identification and assess the risks. You are normally asked to provide a billing address, delivery address, telephone number, email address and telephone number. We keep this information on file so that if you place any further orders with us, we do not need to collect it. We share the delivery information with our couriers, we also share your phone number and email address with them to make sure that they have the best chance of delivering to you at a time that best suits you.
This information may be stored in our email systems when we exchange information with you and in our customer data base.
We also collect your card payment details to process your payment. We hold these details on file until your hire is complete and returned back to Lens Lab. We may use these payment details to charge you in specific circumstances such as incomplete, late or damaged returns.

Workshop customers
When you book a Lens Lab workshop we will ask you to provide some basic information about yourself such as your billing address and your email and telephone number. We will use these to give you information about the workshop such as pre-event information and changes to scheduling.
We also collect your card payment details only to process your payment and we do not hold this information.
This information may be stored in our email systems when we exchange information with you and in our customer data base.
We will also join you to our email newsletter marketing programme where you have indicated that you are happy to receive this information.
You may also be invited to review Lens Lab to help other customers assess our business, we may automatically publish these referals where we see fit but we will also remove any immediately upon request.
You may also be invited to our mentoring programme and your work will be published in this section but again, we will remove your work immediately upon request.

Email marketing programme
When you sign up for newsletter marketing information we may collect some information about your personal preferences such as your favourite brand. This information is used to make sure that we only send you relevant information in our newsletters and keep to a minimum any information that is likely not to be of any use to you.

Creating a listing on our listings page
We will hold the information you give us on our systems indefinitely. We may send you updates to check if your listing is still valid we will remove any old or unwanted listings as soon as possible. We will allow users who are interested in your listing to contact you directly and freely.

Club listings
We maintain a list of UK camera clubs as a service to the photographic community. We are very proud to offer the most comprehensive, geo-tagged, location searchable list of clubs in the UK and we hope to maintain this list to the highest standard. As such, from time to time we write to club officials to prompt them to tell us about any updates and with other news that we think will be of interest to club members. These emails are not part of our email marketing programme, they are sent on an adhoc basis. The information on these pages has come from public sources such as a club website or has been given to us by a club official for the purpose of including in the listing on the Lens Lab website. In the main, club officials are pleased to have their names and contact information (telephone or email or both) with their club listing however we will remove any officials contact details listed where we are informed that that is their wish regardless of whether the information is freely available from other sources.

From time to time we write to these photographers to prompt them to tell us about any updates and with other news that we think will be of interest to them or with the contact details of people who are looking to hire photographers nearby. The information on these pages has come from public sources such as a website or has been given to us by a professional photographer l for the purpose of including in the listing on the Lens Lab website.
