A well handled photograph of the old pier supports, exposure just right. The horizon in the middle adds to the peacefulness. Ideally I would like to see the figure, whose presence is essential to lifting this image above a record shot, facing the other way, leaning on the pillar looking out to sea.

Like Paul says, great exposure ans sharpeness and the figure makes the picture! You could make an even more graphical image by cropping the picture to a long, cinema-style format, which would loose the tops of the columns, turning them into abstract vertical lines..maybe the horizon on a third?
