This is a delightful shot, excellent control over the depth of field, nice to have blur front and back, this gives a good sense of depth. Nice colours and perfect focus. Great shot Roberta, well done.

Yes this all about depth of field. Isolating the subject and adding interest. Imagine what it would be with everything sharp, confusing and with no obvious composition.
