Composition borrows beautifully from classic diagonals and golden mean, and loooovely use of depth of field. The shallow focus and the road lights in the mid-right background give this filmic quality.

Tim, this is a cracking image. The horizon looks ever so slightly crooked but frankly, it's one of the best shots i have seen of a photographer on Brighton beach - I've seen a few !-). I might get back to you to see if we can use that on our selling page, it really is very good.

Odd isn't it? We spend huge sums on the world's best lenses, then add softness with mist and differential focus. Why - because it produces depth, the first thing I see in this photograph, despite the originally somewhat flat lighting. Great image.
