Herefordshire Photographic Society arranges talks, demonstrations, visits and discussions in order to promote the knowledge and ability of its members to take good photographs and enjoy their hobby. In addition our programme includes a social content. Throughout our season we have guest speakers who come along, show their work and share their photograpic experience. Whilst most members are purely amateur in their interest, we have some who are professionals and others with Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and other qualifications. This mix provides a good fund of knowledge and ability to help photographers at all levels. The society runs competitions for prints and projected images (digital and slides) throughout the season (September to May). There are two additional competitions which involve neighbouring Photographic Clubs offering a good opportunity to meet their members, share ideas and enjoy the company of like minded photographers.
