VISAS AND PERMITS

Depending on your nationality, you may need to obtain visas and permits in advance for your trip. You are responsible for applying for the relevant documents yourself. Please read the following information carefully.

Kyrgyzstan Visa: Most nationalities can obtain their visa upon arrival into the country, but there are a few exceptions to this rule. Please check your home country’s Kyrgyzstan Embassy website for up to date advice.

Tajikistan Visa: This visa has to be in advance, but it’s easy enough to obtain. The application is a simple on-line process which takes a few minutes. You will need to go to your home country’s Tajikistan Embassy website for up to date advice.

Tajikistan GBAO Permit: Anyone who travels on the Pamir Highway in Tajikistan has to have a GBAO Permit. This permit is issued at the same time as the Tajikistan Visa as an additional option during the on-line application process. Please make sure you apply for your GBAO Permit if your trip involves travelling on the Pamir Highway in Tajikistan. If you’re not sure, then contact us for advice.

Please make sure you bring a printed paper copy of all relevant visas and permits with you. It’s much easier to print them in advance at home, as accessing a printer in Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan can often prove a little tricky.

If you are unsure, or have any questions about visas or permits, please contact us and we will advise you accordingly.

HEALTH

We strongly recommend that you contact your local health centre or website for advice regarding preventative medicine. They will advise you accordingly about necessary vaccinations etc. for travel in these countries. Please read the Terms and Conditions and Booking Conditions for more information. It is your responsibility to take the necessary health precautions for your trip.
