Instructors: | I’ve been a pro photographer for about 14 years now, shooting on location and in the studio. Assignments have taken me from the arctic to the tropics, as well as shooting personal work wherever I can. I’m usually photographing people and places and I tend to be commissioned to shoot in situations where a personable, collaborative and human touch is needed. I love to work with people, and it affects my approach and style of direction very much. I find that a warm human approach gives access to people at all levels, and I love to really involve people in a shoot - clients or subjects and unsuspecting models (I find street-casting really interesting). Putting together and gently, collaboratively directing a team is one of the greatest pleasures in this job. The heart and thrill of photography is there for me and many of my “best” pictures I can’t remember taking..... www.jamesmcdonaldphotographer.co.uk |
